From Central Square you can easily reach the Sun and Moon Pagodas, the Zhengyang Pedestrian Street, and the city's riverside parks. The scenery of karst peaks surrounds the city center.
The surrounding streets are filled with restaurants and snack stalls — try Guilin's famous rice noodles and local river fish. Evening markets add to the lively atmosphere.
Central Square is in the middle of Guilin's compact city center, easily reached on foot or by a short taxi ride from most hotels.
