Itinerary
Drive from Chengdu to Kangding (about 4 hours) via the Erlangshan Tunnel. Afternoon: visit Kangding old town and Namtso Lake. Overnight Kangding (2,560m).
Meal: B,L,D
Accommodation: Kangding
Drive to Zimei Pass (4,500m), the best viewpoint of Mt. Gongga (Minya Konka, 7,556m). Trek down to Gongga Monastery. Overnight monastery guesthouse (3,800m).
Meal: B,L,D
Accommodation: Gongga Monastery
Trek from Gongga Monastery to Lengge (3,600m), passing through alpine meadows and glacial valleys. Overnight camping or guesthouse.
Meal: B,L,D
Accommodation: Camping/Guesthouse
Trek out to the road, then drive back to Kangding. Overnight Kangding.
Meal: B,L,D
Accommodation: Kangding
Drive back to Chengdu. Tour ends.
