Drive over Zheduo Pass (4,298m) to Xinduqiao, "photographer's paradise". Visit Tibetan villages. Overnight Xinduqiao (3,300m).

Drive to Zimei Pass (4,500m) for panoramic views of Mt. Gongga. Trek to Gongga Monastery. Overnight monastery.

Accommodation: Gongga Monastery
Full day at Gongga Monastery, participate in kora (circumambulation) and visit the hot springs. Overnight monastery.

Trek through Yanzigou Valley with views of Gongga's east face. Drive to Kangding. Overnight Kangding.
